Echo Fox is pleased to announce the signing of Kim “Ssong” Sang-soo as the new head coach of its League of Legends team. Bringing his extensive in-game knowledge as both a professional player and coach, Ssong’s impressive resume includes qualifying for the League of Legends Worlds Championships five out of the six years that he has been a part of the esports community.

“As Echo Fox heads into 2019, Coach Ssong’s experience and talent are critical towards our goals for the season,” said Jared Jeffries, Echo Fox President. “Ssong has led some of the top teams in the esports space and has continued to showcase his unique and flexible approach, and we’re excited to welcome him into the Echo Fox family.”

Ssong moved to North America in 2017 to coach the Immortals League of Legends team and then went on to coach Team SoloMid (TSM). Along with being well respected by players, Ssong has proved his capability to craft successful playing styles across multiple rosters.

After qualifying for the playoffs for the first time in Spring 2018 and then again during the Summer split, Echo Fox is looking forward to the 2019 season. With Coach Ssong leading the charge, the team is planning a strong comeback with their eyes set on Worlds 2019.
